Frederick M. Hanish is a Co-Owner and Portfolio Manager at Republic Wealth Advisors. He is a member of the firm’s investment committee.

Fred has more than three decades of industry experience. He authored the book Three Generations from the Outhouse as well as the foreword to The Wealth Management Edge: Unlocking the Wealth Building Secrets of America’s Most Successful Families.

In 15 years at Russell Investments, Fred served as a Managing Director and member of the firm’s global operating committee, helping oversee more than $220 billion in managed assets. Fred later joined Avalon Advisors, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group and one of the world’s largest private equity firms as a Director of Partner Solutions. He was also Chief Executive Officer of H.I.P. Wealth Advisors, a Texas-based investment advisory firm, before joining Avalon.

Fred earned a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics from St. John’s University, Minnesota.

Fred has served on numerous investment committees and boards, including nonprofits such as his children’s school and his church. He is married to his wife Lori of over 35 years and has two children, son Reagan and daughter Ashlyn. Fred enjoys traveling and is an avid outdoorsman.
